Das
umgesetzte Möbelobjekt CONTAINER (2009) wird in den Monaten November 2009 bis
Februar 2010 erstmals am Sitz der Freien Universität Bozen in Brixen
installiert. Es handelt sich um ein flexibles, modulares System, das
immer wieder neu bestückt, als autonomer Arbeitsplatz funktioniert und der
Stiftung die Möglichkeit bietet, mit der Öffentlichkeit zu kommunizieren. Im
Umfeld der Bibliothek der Freien Universität in Brixen sowie an den
nachfolgenden unterschiedlichen Niederlassungen im Kontext von Kunst,
Architektur und Design verweist diese Arbeit auf die Interessensgebiete und den
Auftrag des Stifters Benno Barth.
La
struttura mobile realizzata, cui è stato dato il nome CONTAINER, sarà installata
per la prima volta presso la Libera Università di Bolzano a Bressanone e vi
resterà collocata sino a febbraio 2010. Container è una struttura flessibile,
modulare e, in quanto tale, può essere sempre rinnovata ed è una postazione di
lavoro indipendente; Container è in più anche opportunità di contatto e
incontro con il grande pubblico. L’opera contestualizzata presso
biblioteca della Libera Università di Bolzano a Bressanone e successivamente in
ambienti artistici, architettonici e del design presso altre, differenti
località, riconduce al territorio interessato e all’impegno lasciato in
eredità dal fondatore Benno Barth.
The
sculptural object “CONTAINER – mobile library” (2009) will be
installed for the first time in the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano in
Brixen/Bressanone. The object will be on display from November 2009 until
February 2010. CONTAINER consists of a flexible, modular framework which can be
reassembled continually and function as an autonomous workstation. In addition
to this, it provides the foundation an opportunity to communicate with the
public. In
this, the exhibition of the work at Library of the Free University of
Bozen/Bolzano in Brixen/Bressanone and subsequently in other artistic,
architectural and design spaces will be able to illustrate the fields of
interest and the hereditary mission of the founder Benno Barth.
